Drop-In Event
Christ On Main hosted an enthusiastic gathering of supporters at our drop-in event on June 8th. We brought together a hundred people, including Mayor White, to meet our leadership while viewing the design plans and goals for the storefront. We are grateful that Fr. Newman from St. Mary’s Catholic Church gave a blessing of our location through prayers and the sprinkling of holy water.
Remodel Updates & Community Notice
We are finalizing our architectural plans for the distinct spaces within Christ on Main. Our goal is to develop a beautiful and prayerful oasis that offers resources, education, and community. The storefront remodeling will start this summer, and we are currently offering tours to highlight the details of our project.
We are also spreading awareness throughout Greenville! We look forward to visiting parishes in the coming months, and we invite you to share what’s happening with Christ On Main at your parish, workplace, and neighborhood.

Building & Leadership
We took major steps forward this spring by securing a downtown location and hiring an executive director! Brendan Dudley started as executive director in May and is preparing to lead our downtown storefront called Christ On Main at 14 South Main Street. “Coming Soon” signs are already in place at the location.
We will offer a beautiful and welcoming environment and a variety of activities, events, and resources to proclaim the gospel of Christ and introduce visitors to the fullness of the Catholic faith.
There will be many opportunities to participate in and contribute to Christ On Main. You may e-mail brendan@christonmain.org.
Summer Goals
The major project this summer is the remodeling and furnishing of the storefront interior. Current plans include a front space for retail items, an open area for various activities, a screen to promote events, a dedicated prayer room, and more
As we transform the interior, volunteer committees will help to plan ongoing programs and sponsored events at the downtown location and at local parishes. Let us know if you would like to help shape our future by joining a committee.
Your help as a volunteer will be vital for daily life at the storefront. We need volunteers for numerous roles: greeting visitors, initiating conversations, managing retail, organizing events, and leading activities. Contact us about any of these roles! We anticipate the power of Jesus Christ working through our volunteers to showcase the joy of the Gospel.
Grand Opening
We anticipate a grand opening of Christ On Main later this year! Stay tuned for a monthly newsletter and updates regarding the opening.

January Update
Candlemas Event
On January 27, a large and enthusiastic group of supporters gathered at the Poinsett Club in Greenville to celebrate Candlemas, enjoy dinner, and receive an update on the progress of the Veritas Catholic Information Center of Greenville. Father Jay Scott Newman of St. Mary’s offered the invocation and Father Christopher Smith of Prince of Peace gave an eloquent address on the importance of Catholic evangelization in the upstate. Board of Directors Chairman Jordan Roberts provided an overview of the VCIC’s mission by comparing our work to that of St. Francis of Assisi’s mission to rebuild the San Damiano Chapel. Vice Chairman Robert Poppleton briefed the gathering on the ongoing search for a downtown location. In the last 18 months, the VCIC’s Board has visited over 20 potential locations and submitted 4 offers, none of which were accepted. However, we are currently in negotiations with a landlord for a Main Street location and hope to have good news soon.
]As the VCIC moves closer to securing a physical location and hiring a Director of Operations, the need for spiritual and financial support becomes even more important. Please continue to support the VCIC with your prayers, presence, and finances.
Photos of the event are included in the EVENTS section of the website
