Presentation on the Shroud of Turin

Christ On Main co-hosted a fantastic event at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on September 7th.

300 people attended a wonderful presentation on the Shroud of Turin, which is an artifact believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus.

Dr. Cheryl White of LSU Shreveport presented historical evidence and scientific discoveries about the shroud along with incredible photographs of the image on it.

Our event also involved promoting Christ On Main through flyers and conversation. Attendees were eager to learn the details of our mission and discover how they can support us!

Drop-In Tour of Christ On Main

We had a spectacular event on June 8th! The board of directors welcomed 100 people to Christ On Main for an experience that included touring the site, viewing floor plans, connecting with fellow supporters, and meeting our executive director. See below for photos from our event!

Everyone enjoyed the wide assortment of food and beverages while learning our goals for the storefront. We highlighted how Christ On Main will be a beautiful, welcoming environment to connect with God through a variety of activities and resources.

Our executive director, Brendan Dudley, spoke of our storefront as a spiritual oasis for exploring a friendship with Jesus Christ and discovering the beauty of Catholicism. He also encouraged everyone to contribute their talents, emphasizing the many ways for volunteers to support our mission.

We express our deep thanks to Fr. Jay Scott Newman for blessing our location at this event with a prayer and sprinkling of holy water. As his prayer reminded us, we must trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all our endeavors.

We are also incredibly grateful to Mayor White for joining us at our event! We know our storefront will be a wonderful addition to the vibrancy of Main Street.

Thank you to all our supporters for making this event a great success!

Should wives be submissive to their husbands? How should husbands best love their wives? The answer to these questions brings us directly into the call to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.
