Sharing the beauty and fullness of the Catholic faith with fellow Catholics and non-Catholics.
The Veritas Catholic Information Center (VCIC) will proclaim the beauty, truth and fullness of the Catholic faith in order to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission to “Go and Make Disciples of All Nations.” Organized and managed by lay persons in full communion with the Catholic Church, the VCIC will proclaim the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a welcoming setting in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina.

Proclaim and reclaim the beauty of the image of God in the Upstate.
The VCIC will be a welcoming presence reflecting the beauty of the Catholic faith through carefully selected décor, art
and music. The VCIC will offer a pleasant venue for conversation, study, informal catechesis, prayer and spiritual direction.
Scheduled events will include, but not be limited to, lectures, concerts, book signings, and panel discussions on topics at the intersection of faith and culture.
Quality merchandise will be offered for sale, including authentic Catholic literature and devotional items.

Jordan M. Roberts
Chair
Jordan has undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish from Clemson University. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law. Jordan works as a financial advisor at Parallel Financial in Greenville. He has been in the financial services industry
since 2015. Jordan also serves on the Board of Birthright of Greenville and the Advisory Council of St. Mary’s Catholic School. Jordan converted to Catholicism in 2014 and is a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jordan and his wife and four children live in Simpsonville. In their free
time, they enjoy reading, gardening, and trips to the beach.

Robert Poppleton
Vice-Chair
Robert Poppleton holds a master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America. Robert is Vice President at The Furman Co., where he manages the development division’s commercial real estate projects. Prior to Greenville, Robert lived and worked in the Washington DC area. Robert and his wife were married in 2010 at Prince of Peace in Taylors and have lived in Greenville since 2012 where they are parishioners at Saint Mary’s and happily raising their five children. For fun, the Poppletons enjoy exploring the mountains and beaches of the Carolinas.

Tony Owens
Secretary
Tony Owens has advanced degrees in
Composition and Literature and is the founder and President of SRS, Inc, a consulting company providing process improvement and employee
development services to large corporations. He converted to Catholicism in 1996 and is a parishioner of St. Mary’s and a Lay Dominican. He and his wife (a Secular Fransiscan) have two children and two grandchildren. He teaches courses in Catholic theology, apologetics, western civilization, and traditional music.

Linda Cowart
Treasurer
Linda Cowart is the CFO and Executive Vice President of Finance of the Trehel Corporation, a position which she has held since 2004. Trehel Corporation, founded in 1982, is a locally owned general contractor and construction management firm licensed in SC, NC, and Georgia. Cowart, a cradle Catholic, is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anderson, SC. Also, she is Co-Founder of eDoc Home, a national
telehealth service provider. In addition, Cowart enjoys visiting her siblings and their families, cooking, flower arranging, and traveling to any beach destination in her free time.

Bill Coffey
Chair
Bill Coffey holds a B.A. in Spanish from Villanova University, and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Bill works in International Sales and Marketing for Poole Company, a private textile company in Greenville SC. He has worked in the textile industry since 1977. Bill and his wife Eileen have been parishioners at St. Mary Magdalene parish since 1999. They have six children and eight grandchildren. In their free time they enjoy travel, hiking, visiting grandkids, trips to the beach.

Thierry Wersinger
Thierry Wersinger retired in 2019 after almost 40 years with Michelin. He began his career in 1980 at the company’s worldwide headquarters in Clermont Ferrand, France. Subsequent assignments included the management of Michelin subsidiaries in Copenhagen, Hong Kong, London, and Clermont-Ferrand. Wersinger moved to Greenville SC in 1996 and held various executive positions in Logistics and Supply Chain management. Wersinger is a graduate of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris, France. He was born in Strasbourg, Alsace (France). He lives in Greenville, South Carolina with his wife of 40 years, Tanya, their eight children and 16 grandchildren. He is a parishioner at Prince of Peace, Taylors SC.
